I am a documentary filmmaker, teacher trainer, and animator and puppeteer based in New York City. In addition to leading many documentary and educational video series, I have worked with teachers and institutions to help build organizational capacity around new media production. In my spare time I enjoy playing jazz clarinet, running and swimming, and traveling the world seeking stories to share through film.
Unit schools are the closest thing to inclusion special needs programs in Ghana. The Teachers College Speech and Language Pathology Institute has been visiting this school for several years now.
In January I traveled to to Ghana to document Teachers College’s Speech and Language Pathology Institute. They offer free clinics, do teacher training, and help build awareness of disabilities across the country.
“Something Cool” is a series I started at the EdLab about interesting projects at the Teachers College library. This episode is about a free seedling giveaway, spearheaded by Gus Andrews.
